About Cambridge Squash Club

Cambridge Squash Club, is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community sports club dedicated to the promotion of Squash and Racketball.

We have an active, vibrant squash and racketball community at the Club which is welcoming to all ages and abilities. We run a variety of leagues, club nights and teams to enable our players to develop and enjoy squash at it’s best.

We support squash out of 2 venues:

  • Swavesey Squash Club, a fantastic 3 court members run complex 15 minutes from central Cambridge
  • Cambridge University Sports Centre is a 5 court commercial centre in West Cambridge

In summary, our members benefit from a buzzing community of players, providing competition whatever your level of squash.

What makes us a vibrant place to be?

Leagues

Cambridge Squash Club supports several league structures, each league runs on a monthly basis with 5/6 players in each league.

Members Database

All members get access to our database of players, so you can find people to arrange a social or competitive game with, we list their standards, which location they play from, when they are usually available and contact details, so you should never be short of a game.

Club Nights

Club nights usually consists of a section of drills (practices to help you become more consistent and accurate) before a few casual games with all sorts of different players who are there.

Super Club Nights

The club runs special organised Super club nights every few months which offer free coaching sessions, skills challenges, fun competitions followed by drinks, food and prizes.

Teams

We have 3 men’s teams and 1 ladies team entered in the Cambridgeshire Squash Leagues. These are a great way to play competitive squash!

Tournaments

We run several tournaments across the year, including the Cambridge Squash Club closed, this is the biggest tournament in the county by participation!

Individual and Group Coaching

For new players looking to learn the basics, returning players looking to brush off the cobwebs, or any player looking to review their fundamental technique, tactical awareness, movement and fitness, and gameplay, we recommend getting in touch with Ali Loke.

Social Events

We don’t just play squash! We enjoy a few beers (or non-alcoholic beverages) around Cambridge and regularly organise events for our members to get together.

Junior Coaching

Cambridge Junior Squash program delivers a fun environment to play and learn squash but also ensures there is a clear development pathway for those wanting to progress into competitive play. As such we run three sessions throughout the week.

Club Trips

We regularly attend tournaments including the Nottingham Doubles, Edinburgh October fest and Canary Wharf Classic.
